Long ago mages rules in Ferelden. Their power was so great that they believed they usurp the Maker himself. But they failed, and magic became a sin in the world, watched over by the Chantry and their fearsome knights, the templars. Now, mages are brought to the Circle Tower, where the Circle of Magi teaches them how to use their powers in the service of the Chantry. It is here that fobidden romance will bloom between the templar named Sadatt and the young mage Veness, a tragic romance curt short by Veness’s death a Sadatt’s hand and the death of her child.
