Dragon Age

Several years ago, I had the opportunity to co-write a six-issue Dragon Age comic series for EA Comics alongside Orson Scott Card. Set in the rich, morally complex world of Thedas, the story follows a group of unlikely heroes drawn together by forces far larger than themselves—ancient magic, political intrigue, and the ever-present threat of the Blight. Our goal was to create a narrative that felt true to the spirit of the games while also standing on its own, giving readers a character-driven story full of tension, sacrifice, and hard choices.

Working on this series was a genuinely memorable experience for me. Collaborating with Orson Scott Card pushed me creatively, and getting to play in a world as deep and beloved as Dragon Age was both a challenge and a joy. There’s something uniquely satisfying about contributing to a universe that already means so much to fans, and I’m proud of the story we were able to tell. It remains one of those projects that I look back on with a lot of gratitude—and a lot of fun memories from the process.
