Ender in Exile #5

October 12, 2010 By Aaron Johnston

The final issue in the adaptation of Ender in Exile drops October 13, 2010. I’ve loved working on this series. But fear not, more Ender is coming!

THE STORY:
The exciting conclusion to Orson Scott Card’s bestselling novel and direct sequel to Ender’s Game! Ender has found a cocoon of a young Formic hive queen who carries within her ten thousand Formic eggs. With it, Ender can restore the alien species he destroyed in the war. But should he? Or would he be opening Pandora’s box, unleashing Earth’s deadliest enemies to finish what they started? It all comes to a head here as Ender accepts or rejects his destiny as the Speaker for the Dead. Parental Advisory

Marvel announces FORMIC WARS: BURNING EARTH

July 26, 2010 By Aaron Johnston

Just announced at Comic Con in San Diego: Orson Scott Card and I will be writing a new limited series for Marvel in the Enderverse entitled FORMIC WARS.

Check out an interview I did for Marvel.com here.

As any fan of Ender’s Game knows, Ender Wiggin destroyed the Formics in the Third Formic War. But what about the First and Second Formic Wars? What happened during THOSE conflicts? How did the world get to the state it’s in when Ender is born? What did the formics do to our planet that led to all-out war?

Well, the answers will come in this new limited series, including the story of young Mazer Rackham.

I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to be working on this. I’ve been a life-long fan of Ender’s Game, and to work in the Ender universe now is absolutely incredible. I still can’t believe it myself. Look for more news about the upcoming series in the future.

Thirteen-year-old Ender Wiggin has a new assignment: governor of a colony planet. And Valentine, his sister, has given up everything to join him. But the starship carrying them to their destination carries a new enemy as well: Admiral Morgan, the captain of the ship. Determined to strip Ender of power and seize the governorship for himself, Morgan will do anything to undermine Earth’s youngest and greatest hero. Based on the bestselling novel by science-fiction master Orson Scott Card, the adaptation of the multiple award-winning Ender Wiggin series continues here!
